Sam Houston Football head coach Phil Longo highlighted the unique test of a nine-hour flight and the need to manage player recovery. Both quarterbacks, Watson and Mabrey, will continue preparing as starters until one pulls ahead. He emphasized establishing a run game, improving pass rush, and winning battles at the line of scrimmage—especially in the red zone—as keys to beating Timmy Chang’s pass-heavy offense.

We finish the first hour with a recap of the high school football results from the weekend, including hearing from new Moanalua HC Keone Batoon after Na Menehune rolled by Nanakuli, 49-35.
