The Kahuku Red Raiders closed the door on a long-awaited return to the top of OIA Division I boys basketball Tuesday night, grinding out a hard-fought 35–32 victory over the defending champion Kailua Surfriders in a defensive-heavy championship showdown.

The Kaimuki Bulldogs delivered a composed, wire-to-wire performance Wednesday night to capture the OIA Division II boys basketball championship, pulling away from Waiʻanae for a decisive 59–38 victory at Jim Alegre Gymnasium.
