HPU begins the PacWest season 1-0 (9-1 overall) after beating Chaminade 14-5 to open conference play. Starting pitcher Jordan Otjen (2-0) earned the win (6 IP, 1 ER, 5 SO) and was chosen as our 'YeahU Player of the Game'.

Fun news to start the show as today marks the first day that college football players can opt in to being included in the much-anticipated EA Sports College Football 25 game. Each player that opts in will receive $600 and a copy of the game ($70 value). Ku'ulei chats with HPU Baseball head coach Dane Fujinaka as they get set to open PacWest Conference play against Chaminade today. Plus, we hear from UH WBB head coach Laura Beeman and UH MVB libero Eleu Choi.

We move the conversation to high school boys' basketball, hearing from Kahuku freshman Kash Daley after the Red Raiders win to open the HHSAA D1 tournament before shifting to Kalaheo's upset win over #5 Mililani behind junior CJ Bostic's 15 points.

Happy Aloha Friday, beautiful people! Ku and Paul back with you to recap Thursday's Hawai'i action on the hardwood, as the men's basketball team destroyed a short-handed Cal Poly on the road before the Rainbow Wahine stayed unbeaten at home with a hard-fought win over the Mustangs.

We start off by recapping the exciting OIA Boys Basketball Championships that took place last night and hear from the winning head coaches of Kaimuki and Leilehua. For our University of Hawai'i update we hear from women's basketball head coach Laura Beeman and get into some baseball as opening weekend is here with the Base 'Bows hosting Ole Miss.
